Baltimore-based multi-instrumentalist Amanda Glasser writes and performs exquisitely arranged, emotionally cathartic 21st century folk songs. While she has previously released experimental songs as Saint Julien, and explored a hard alt-rock sound with her band Purrer, Glasser’s work under her own name falls closer to Joni Mitchell, Elliott Smith, and Sibylle Baier than Bikini Kill and Nirvana.
